Since 2017, he has been a dynamic leader in the establishment and growth of ISKF Region 2, working closely with the esteemed Sensei Remy Cabaldo. The sudden loss of Sensei Cabaldo during the COVID-19 pandemic left a profound void in the Karate community, as he was a beloved figure known for his passion and commitment to the art. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Sensei Jonard has remained steadfast in his mission, drawing strength from the essential support of Ronnie Lansangan. Lansangan has played a crucial role in revitalizing Nippon Karate across the region, infusing it with renewed energy and enthusiasm. Together, they work tirelessly to instill the timeless values of discipline, respect, and tradition in their students. After the devastating typhoon that struck the Philippines, the resilience of the Karate community shone brightly during the Team Kata competition at the national Karate tournament. Despite the challenges faced by many in the aftermath of the disaster, Karatekas from across the country came together to compete, demonstrating their unwavering spirit and dedication to the art.

The Team Kata event became a symbol of unity, strength, and perseverance. Karatekas, including young athletes and seasoned practitioners, showcased their skills in synchronized kata, working as a cohesive team while embodying the principles of Karate—respect, discipline, and resilience. The competition was not just about winning, but about standing together as a community, rebuilding both physically and emotionally after the devastation.
